A peak at a new style I’ve been working on.

The inspiration for this style is from my childhood.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We had a family lake house that we would spend holidays and some weekends.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We would pile into it, there had to be about 15-20 of us. Mostly kids.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Everything about it screams old lake house.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Waking up with a huge family breakfast, having coffee on the porch that overlooked the white sand beach that opened up to a cove where we would be spending most of our day tubing, sun bathing, playing in the sand or fishing.

We would eat watermelon and sandwiches until dinner time. Then it was burgers, hot dogs and chips.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Followed by a game of rummicube. (If you know what that game is, we’re automatically best friends.)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Then wake up and repeat until it was time to go home.

This piece is very nostalgic for me, the rich browns remind me of that old house. It wasn’t anything fancy, mostly just dark stained wood everywhere. Bunk beds in the corner, enough room for blow up mattresses, fold out sofas and a VHS of “fried green tomatoes” that we watched every time we were there.
